It is still not clear if Johnny Depp is going to play Ozzy Osborne in the planned biopic of the later. For one thing, Ozzy positively wants that Johnny reprises his real-life persona and thinks it is him who can do full justice to the character.
One thing that worries Ozzy and the producers a bit is if Johnny has that rough edge invariably related to the Ozzy Osborne persona. But now they think with a few “tweaks”, Johnny can be given that look.
“Ozzy has made no secret of the fact that he wants Johnny to play him,” Dailystar quoted a source as saying. “Ozzy knows Johnny is loved by women the world over, but they reckon with a few tweaks he can be made to look a bit more rough…”
It is still not clear, however, whether Depp would give his nod to the project. If the Pirates star is not available, the role will be offered to Denzel Washington.
Meanwhile, Contactmusic reports that Johnny Depp was plagued by dark dreams when he was shooting Alice in Wonderland and the actor thinks playing such an eccentric character as Mad Hatter may influence that.
“I had hideous dreams. But I have a tendency to have somewhat dark dreams. I can’t remember any of them specifically that affected me during the filming, but I don’t think it had to do with the filming at all,” Depp said.
“But I did have a dream once that Alan Hale, the skipper of Gilligan’s Island, chased me through the streets of Hollywood,” the actor added.
